Star-Spangled Wall Hangings

Materials needed: 

1 package each of Red, Blue, Sky Blue, and White Hearty® Clay, Clay Roller Kit, Clay Scissors, white    glue, white and red acrylic paint, colored pencils, foam paint brush, assorted red, white and blue ribbon, 16 gauge wire, rubber stamps (star, Inky after dark’s Lady Liberty, Art Impression’s Honor and Liberty, and Stamp Oasis’ Stars)

 Directions:

1.      Roll out Blue clay to ¼” thickness.  Cut out 3 large stars.  Put 2 holes on each side of the stars.  These holes will be where you put your hanging wire.

2.      Let stars air-dry and then stamp stars.  Ink stamp with white acrylic paint.  Edge stars with white.

3.      Roll out Red clay to 1/8” thickness and cut out smaller star.  Repeat with White and Blue Clay.  Let dry.  Edge Red and Blue Star with white paint.  Edge white star with red paint.  Stamp Honor and Liberty on red and blue star.  Stamp Lady Liberty on white star and Stars word.  Color with pencils.

4.      Glue decorative ribbon around smaller stars.

5.      Glue smaller stars to larger stars.

6.      Make 6 jump rings with wire (or buy 9 mm rings and attach to larger stars).

7.      Place wire in a semi-circle onto jump rings.

8.      Embellish with ribbons.
